VPN Client cannot ping all devices

Hi there

VPN network newbie.

Thanks to lots of good decriptions I was able to configute my Netgear Firewall FVS318G and my laptop using Shrew VPN client software successfully. Now I am in the remote network.

When I initially connected to the network, everything was working just fine. Now (without having changed any settings) I can only ping or RDP to some devices and not all of them. They are all in the same subnet & I can use RDP fine within the local network. It's only when I use VPN, that some devices work and others don't?

Does anyone have an idea what this strange behaviour could be?

On dial-in, do you get an IP from the same subnet as the devices? If not, they might have firewall rules to only allow "local" traffic.
