Server 2008 R@ SP1 endless 1001 errors in the app log
Recently I had users connecting to this box via terminal services complain of their applications hanging up. Upon checking the logs I found literally endless 1001 errors.
Event names are AppHang, AppHangB1, AppHangXProcB1 (all these are for Excel.exe)
Then BEX for Winword.exe
Then APPCRASH for rdpclip.exe
Etc...
Google has little to say... anyone encounter this kind of problem before?

On the server, Terminal Server Settings snap-in, go to RDP-TCP properties. Click the Client Settings tab. Under "Redirection" would you be willing to try disabling "Clipboard" redirection as a test?
Would like to see if that clears the problem. I've had weird problems before with users cutting and pasting large material from their workstation to the RDP session's application and hanging it, often accidentally.
If you make that tweak, users will have to log off then back on to see the change.
