OK Here is what you need to do first:
Follow this Link:
Link for troubleshooting access only issue in Vista

If this fails, then unistall the wireless adaptor and then reinstall it. And follow the steps below:

1. Use an Ethernet Cable and connect it directly to Linksys Router (Physical Connection)
2. Give your Computer an IP address like 192.168.1.2
3. Turn on the router and watch out if the lights are blinking on the ethernet interface.
4. Open a browser and connect to https://192.168.1.1
5. Use the default credentials for linksys router to log in.
6. If you are not able to access the web interface of the router, Try resetting it by pushing the reset button.
7. Once you are inside the router configuration page, Create an Wireless SSID, Choose Infrastructure Mode, Choose a Pre-Shared Key that you will remember and choose WPA as authentication protocol.

Once done, Enable wireless on your PC, Scan for wireless Access points, And connect to your SSID with the pre-shared key that you choose.

You should be able to connect without a problem :)
