How you have taken backup from the source server? You should use copy switch since you are restoring it on the different server which will remove server specific properties.<br />

I ended up modifying the xml file site id and it script executed with no errors. It seems as if i could not overwrite the current default website. I understand this is probably a safety net designed by Microsoft.

I desperately need to import my settings IIS 7 to another server IIS 7. I exported and tried to import using the appcmd but i receive this error<br />
