I have a Windows 2003 SP2 Standard domain. It includes Windows 2003 to 2012 servers, that are physical, virtual hosts, and virtual guest servers (total of 31). The Exchange 2003 server is currently being transitioned to 2010. There are a number of servers that reference the Exchange 2003 server as a smart host but unfortunately there isn't a complete list.
Does anyone know of a method to scan all the servers in a domain which currently reference either the Exchange 2003's smart host name or its IP address? I'd like to avoid having to log on to each of the 31 servers in order to find out if it lists the 2003 server as a smart host.
The plan is to decommission the Exchange 2003 server over a weekend and point the affected servers to the new 2010 server and avoid problems on Monday morning.
