Critical Exchange 2010 Drive Space Availability

Hello everyone,

I have a virtual Exchange 2010 SP3 Enterprise running on Win 2008 R2 Enterprise server.  I have Message Store drive that is 799GB and have 201GB free space.  I also have a separate Log drive that is 299GB and has 166GB free.

Our tech vendor who assists us with Exchange work from time to time is saying that Exchange will stop when you reach 20% of the capacity of the drive and that we only have about 20-30GB left before Exchange stops on us.  I've searched extensively online but have not found one article that supports this claim.  I always thought that Exchange will stop receiving emails if the drive space goes below 1GB (Exchange Back Pressure).

Has anybody else heard of the Exchange stopping when you reach 20% of the capacity of the drive?

Does anybody know at what point Exchange will actually stop as far as available drive space goes?

Thanks in advance for your assistance.
