Can I move drives from one server to another somehow?
Hello,
Have a Dell Poweredge 2850, green lights on both power supplies but it will not turn on at all. Have another Dell Poweredge 2850 that works fine and we don't need to use.
Is there a way to move the drives into the exact same bays and load the Raid configuration some how so that it boots up okay?
It's a domain controller so kind of important. If I can't just swap the drives I'm going to have to call Dell and have a tech come out.
Thanks!
M.

Best practice is to upgrade & BIOS to latest revision BEFORE attempting a migration, also make sure you do a full power cycle and reboot. (Not CTRL-ALT-DEL, but a true power off). This insures everything is reset.
