There is no option to convert the dynamic disk to basic disk without loosing data. However you can take backup of the dynamic volumes &amp;&nbsp;then convert the disk back to basic disk.

I just blew away the raid 1 and rebuilt it with raid 5 and then restored all of the data. There was no way to add the space via the raid 1...
