Every Asp.net Newby Needs To Know this

Hello,

I am new to Asp.net and I am trying to build pages in it using visual studio. What’s the best way to set a local server or some medium so that whenever I create my new asp.net code, I can preview that in the IE? Please guide me - how to set up an environment or a local server so that I could view my code changes in asp.net in IE – some way to preview what I am coding.
I heard so many things –XAMPP or iis. I am getting confused. Please assist
