I have been looking at this as a possible way to get into mobile programming and app development. Basically (pun intended) I want to take a couple of my apps and convert them to android/iOS platforms. This looks to be basically an HTML5 via VB Classic. I have always worked in VB6/asp classic with sql server. This looks like a good next step. Anyone have any information to support or refute this?
As always, much appreciated....

Thanks! I am also interested in what others have to say. I am initially trying to convert two web services to mobile apps: www.etraxc.com and www.my-etraxc.com. Hopefully this will allow me to do this.
look at http://www.appcelerator.com/ or http://phonegap.com/ or https://www.google.com/producer https://trigger.io/ https://www.firebase.com http://apigee.com/about/
If you talk to anybody that started, using something like phonegap was easy, but can be laggy. It is a good stepping stone, but then they say their next project will be native. I have been looking at trigger.io. It is not free, but easy to use.
You can very easily use html5 w/vbs/asp with a responsive template and do a web view . That would be the fastest. Then phonegap, then a trigger.io/apigeee. When you start getting into more native, we can only use or vb/asp/sql as a webservice.

Ha. We also time races (www.gopherstateevents.com) and are looking at ways to do what you said AND allow for electonic race day registration. So much to do, so little time!!!
Thanks a ton for all of your help. Your posts are informative and easy to follow. Much appreciated and well worth by $13/month.

I'm looking at developing an app for android so I will definitely give NS Basic a go.
Their support was also excellent, especially from George Henne.
For $99 there really isn't much to lose.
I am also interested to see what others have to say.
Good luck.
