We have set up a new environment with MS SharePoint 2013 with SQL 2012.<br />

I am trying to back this up using MS DPM 2012 but it does not allow me to do so and i always get an error &quot;unable to configure protection&quot; on DPM.<br />

I tried few steps.<br />
1. uninstalled agent from web front end server and re installed again.<br />
2.On the clientserver start CMD in administrator mode. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Data Protection Manager\DPM\BIN enter following:<br />

3. Rebooted Web front end server.
