I want to completely rebuild my Hyper-V host operating system and migrate my Hyper-V Machine List from Windows Server 2008 R2 to Windows Server 2012

I have looked at Hyper-V Export and Import wizards but these seem more suited to moving everything from one piece hardware to another

All Hyper-V Machine Virtual Disk images and configuration settings are on an unchanged drive F: so I just need guidance on how I can backup and restore the settings which propagate the Hyper-V Console Machine List

Is there anything else I need to do to the Configuration Settings or Virtual Disks while migrating from Hyper-V on Windows Server 2008 R2 to a new Windows Server 2012?
