scroll entire contents of a FOLDER on a website

Hi all,

In my department i am the only one who can write HTML. I have created a website for my department and everyone needs to be able to write a news story and put it on the site - but without using html.

I am looking for a solution to scroll contents of an entire folder on my website.

In this folder will be several different HTML files - i need the script to access the folder and scroll each HTML one by one.

Is this possible? I didnt have much success whilst looking on google.

If this isnt possible, is there a tool online to create new stories? Without needing and HTML knowledge?

Thanks,

Have you considered using a platform such as WordPress? It can be configured to achieve what you want.

I second that.  Go with Wordpress.  It's widely supported so you shouldn't have a problem getting someone to help you out (or learn yourself).  There are heaps of themes to make it look great and it's very flexible with laying out your webpage like where you put your articles, navigation etc.  You can incorporate "add-ins" to add more functionality such as shopping carts, photo galleries etc.
It will do what you want as your users just add content such as articles, pictures etc and can do basic formatting (Bold, underline, bullets etc).
There are other add-ons as well that can back up your site automatically for instance.
All in all a good product (and it's free)
The best thing about it, is that it's user friendly so your non technical co-workers should find it pretty easy (and rewarding).

Thanks for the points - just a tip for what grade to give.  If you're going to give anything but an 'A' it would be good to have an explanation.  It affects the points that are awarded:
