This is the scenario, and I thank you in advance for your patience:
It pertains to a person's dog's details (colour, breed etc).
Via a querystring to make things easy, (?PersonID=4849) I want to fill the datagrid with that person's dog data from a local PHP file. (DogsDetailsPHP.php)
I can't get it to work.
A second problem is with one of the elements of the grid is a combo box which I was hoping to fill via an Ajax call to another PHP file. (A dropdown of a list of breeds). This is not happening either.
The two PHP files actually faithfully return JSON data from the querying of a MySQL database. The problem is unlikely to be here for I have tested them both.
In order to facilitate you in helping me I've put the output that the PHP files give in a hardcoded array (commented out) and the other JSON data in a separate JSON file.
When I edit the main file to point to the JSON file and the hardcoded array, everything works.
I suspect that my JQuery / javascript / is erroneous.
