How to access SharePoint I installed on Server 2003 machine.
Hello,
I've installed SharePoint Server 2007 on a Windows Server 2003 machine, which I can access fine locally.
I have SP Designer 2007 installed on a Windows 7 machine and would like for SP Designer to access the SharePoint Server machine.
Can I please get some guidance?
Thank you.

Ok, well I see a SharedServices1 under Shared Services Administration. I created a site and got the Top-Level Site Successfully Created notice with a url beneath the notice.
Now, if I go to another computer and enter the url, I am not sent to the site. I instead get a This page cannot be displayed.
Have any idea on what I missed?

I had to leave work for the day unexpectedly. I will try this out.
Thank you.
Thank you.
you first will have to check through Central Administration if the server configuration is complete (eg creating a Shared Service Provider). Then you have to create a SharePoint enabled web application using the Central Administration site.
