SPF Record
I am getting ready to set up external DNS SPF records for our mail servers. I found this wizard from MS to configure the entries:
http://www.microsoft.com/mscorp/safety/content/technologies/senderid/wizard/
Everything seems pretty straightforward. We have two mailservers that send email outside our organization, that are not our MX records as those are IPs to smarthosts. I see how these entries are in the SPF record. I'm going to specify the two outbound mail server IPs in the SPF, and even the MX records as we are going to change the smarthost at some point soon, so outbound mail flow may change at that point. Are there any other considerations I may be missing? Aside from the fact that if I don't make the correct IP address entry for an outbound mail server, I don't really see any "gotchas", but it seems too easy. :)
Thanks.
