Netgear 7224 VLAN

Hi There,

I am trying to change IP addressing on a site but there are 3 VLANs on a Netgear 7224, The Vlans appear too be port based.

I have one Vlan (40) for data and devices connected to it pick up DHCP no problem. Issue is that I have to change the DHCP and the DC and then the firewall to a new range. Thought I had this all planned out but HHHEEELLlppppppp !

What provides dhcp? The netgear?

ASKER

No the DC supplies the DHCP. I found out that by changing the Firewall Vlan_40 (data vlan) Object the the planned new IP address the bloody 7224 then became inaccessible. Even on the new IP range ?

Sounds like some wierd config going on here. We only got the passwords on tuesday and were expected to analyse an over engineered network and affect the changes yesterday.

I guess its going to have to be put back. to another weekend!

Thanks for you input though.
