Where should I install new software and how to organize my computer?
I have formated my HDD to have C (where windows would be installed), D and E.
I use D and E for storing my stuff.
But If I am installing any new software, should I only install it on C?
Can I install it on D or E as well?
The reason I ask is, if I want to reinstall my Os, I don't want my software program data to be lost. besides, it would mean all my data is in one drive and that would make managing it much easier.
what is the best structure to follow here?
PS: Maybe I don't understand what 'installing a software' actually means.
