Block cable company from seeing past modem
Is it possible to stop the cable company from seeing past my modem? If so then what are the firewall settings?

I don't know what difference that would make since they can see everything you do on the internet because you go thru their servers to get there.
The other questions is, Why would they care? The cable company's techs are as overworked and underpaid as anyone else and it's unlikely that they have spare time to try to snoop on your computer. Without you giving them a good reason.
Of course, if you are breaking some laws, it's not the cable company you need to worry about.
And as I always tell people, if you really want privacy, turn off the computer and walk away.

Thanks for the comments folks. No I am not doing anything illegal! It was just out of curiosity because the last time I spoke with them due to server issues they were having the tech said that they could see my network and I had my firewall turned on in my router. I don't think that cox has any business or reason to have access to my network.
While I understand what you're saying, details can be important. Thru the modem, they can 'see' whatever the modem is connected to. Doesn't mean they can see thru your firewall. Except for the ports that you have open for incoming traffic which maybe everyone could see.
Whenever you use a service like cable or DSL internet, there is a gray area. If there are no problems, they will probably never look at your side of the equipment. But if there are problems that are coming from your connection, then they definitely will. And if you object, they will probably disconnect you.
Same thing that is true of many things in life where what you do can affect other people. When your car is parked in your driveway, it's usually no one else's business. As soon as you pull out of your driveway onto the public street's, anyone can see what you're doing.

The question remains whether or not your cable companies staff are willing to risk prosecution by seeing past your modem & thus violating the publics privacy protection laws.
