Create Public Email Account

We have just installed a new SBS2011 Server. I have all the user emails working.

I want to create a few public email accounts (ie sales@, info@).

How do I do this in SBS 2011?

ASKER

This just delivers the email to each user, plus makes an archive of the email.

I want to have a separate shared mailbox, with each user having their own read / opened status.

Just create the mailboxes in the usual way through the SBS management console.
Once you have created them, open EMS and run the following command:

Set-Mailbox Sales -Type:Shared

where sales is the name of the mailbox you want to change.
Then open Exchange Management Console and grant the required users Full Mailbox and Send As permissions.

Simon.
What do you mean "the usual way"?

Through the EMC? Or by creating a new security group in SBS2011 Group Wizard?

Can you please give a few more details?

Thanks

Calvin
New User in the SBS console. Nothing to do with groups.
As you said that you had user emails working I kind of presumed that you knew how to create a user in SBS.

Rule number 1 with SBS - use SBS management console for everything that you can - only do things outside of SBS that the console doesn't do.

Simon.
