Looking to get some clarification on VDI.  Company x is looking to upgrade their windows server infrastructure and also to implement VDI.  Their infrastructure is currently virtualized using vsphere 5.  This company has only 100 users and have not specified that managing physical desktops is a strain on resources.  I think a remote desktop session deployment would cater for the needs of having a consistent desktop and accessible from anywhere, on any device.

Their new, upgraded, windows server infrastructure would take the number of servers to around 16.  Any host that would run esxi / hyper-v must be able to sustain the 16 servers along with the x amount of virtual desktops.  This therefore increases the RAM and processor requirements of the physical hosts?
