Is the access cookbook (http://books.google.com/books/about/Access_Cookbook.html?id=qtgInMAAA0oC) a good reference to learn vba or is it focus group more seasoned professionals?

Thank you.

Not specifically VBA but an outstanding book also. Questions covered in here get asked on EE all the time - lots of cool tips and tricks:

And the Cookbook will also be excellent - considering the authors :-)

Thank you!
Tony,

I realize this question is closed, but feel it is worth mentioning that everybody learns differently, and resources that one person swears by might not be the best for someone else.

When people post questions like this I often suggest glancing through books, online tutorials, etc to see which work for you personally, are at your own level, and hold your interest.

Many people are 'visual' learners, and get more benefit out of videos than written material.  There are plenty of good introductory VBA videos on Youtube, etc.

Others learn by a trial and error approach, learning by 'doing' and couple this with one-on-one coaching.  Briefly glance through this person's EE questions to see what I mean:

This person posts questions about basic issues encountered during routine database development, but rather than simply accepting working answers goes on to ask detailed questions about the mechanics of the solutions and HOW they work.  That approach has been working very well for both him and the participating Experts, and he has learned a lot about VBA in the process.
