Intel s5520hc server board without server 2012 drivers
I bought a s5520hc server board with 8 xeon 5620 processors and windows server 2012 to run as a terminal server.
I recieved everything and installed the Server 2012...and it looks like there are no drivers but the RAID ones. Checked the download center and its listed them as TBD since posted 8 months ago.
My question is, can I run the terminal server without chipset, NIC and videocard drivers? what options do I have...besides returning it (that option may not even be an adoption since it was/is a special order)...Not sure if I can even downgrade to server 2008.
Help.
Thanks!

Possibly but you can do testing to verify. You could virtualize the server and then you would t have to worry about the drivers. VMware is free and works great.
In case this helps someone else, I just updated my S5520HC server to Server 2012 r2, and could not find the video card drivers. I was able to use the drivers from the S2600cp family of servers and they installed just fine and are working. Matrox G200e

Once setup almost 100% of my work will be through RDP, do I really need a video card driver or can I use windows, VGA basic one? Does it reduce performance, or because its a remote desktop/terminal server will it affect the clients visually or functionally?
