Exchange 2010 Edge server
Hi,
I have an Exchange 2010 edge server sitting in our DMZ. We use it to clean and forward mail to external customers.
I need to change the primary DNS suffix on this server to resolve an issue i have with Lync edge which is also installed on it.
Can i just change to suffix or do i need remove exchange and then reload it ?
thanks
ali

the DNS suffix on your edge should be the same as your internal domain name. if it is not then change it to mach your AD domain. if it is then do not change it
impossible, you need to reinstall otherwise it will cause troubles, if you insist on using this machine uninstall exchange, and then change primary suffix and reinstall exchange edge.

Hi,
just want to check
Exchange Edge - FQDN needs to be the same as internal domain
Lync Edge - Needs External FQDN
so you can't have both running on one machine ?
thanks
