Facebook Problems
Slow loading like it takes a long time to type a message. Now I just bought a refurbed Dell OptiPlex with 3gb ram thinking this would solve my problem. Not so. I see they have loaded the screen with pure "crap". How can I delete the "crap". The stuff that shows up on the edges.
Seems I failed to indicate significant details about my OptiPlex by Dell such as:
OS XP SP3 Professional
Model: GX 520/620/745
Pentium 4 HT
3.40 GHz Processor
Integrated Graphics
160 Gb Hard Drive
The slow loading referred to: I type in 10 characters and it will take it say 5 to 10 seconds to display said characters.

What browser and Operating System are you using?
Also is it intermittent or always happening?

IE for browser. Windows XP SP3 Professional for OS. Everything seemed to be working a lot better today. I'm in Eastern Daylight Time Zone and unemployed so I could be at the PC at anytime. Well not exactly unemployed. Retired is the correct term.
Let's give it another day to see what happens unless you have a magic solution.
I had remembered how to figure what's running in the background. Good ole "msconfig"
but still don't know what to eliminate safely.

I use AVG Free, just today went to Windoz Firewall. I had an old version of Zonealarm but supposed to have updated. This will take me a while to sort this all out

Thanks for everyones support and help. I've come to the conclusion that Facebook does not have enough computing power. The concept has been wildly successful as evedenced by Zuckerbers rise in weath. Not sure Facebook is able to hadle the volume. My PC I'm using now has 1 GB ram and doesn't get it done. Bought a refurbed PC Windoz XP SP 3 with 3 GB ram and works much better. Sometimes bogs down too. Thanks Again.
IE 10 has so many bugs I dropped it and use Chrome instead
Have a look at the complaints with IE 10 recent updates.

I uninstalled IE 10 updates still buggy

If and when your computer starts to feel buggy, and slow check your task manager and the running programs incase windows updates is sitting there.
It will stay there sucking up the cpu resources until either you disable auto downloads or install them.
Every Tuesday and Wednesday if not installed.
Thank you and all the best
