Cisco interface access through a loopback interface, but not through the Serial or Ethernet interface
I noticed on a couple devices (Cisco) on our network, that I can't remote access through a physical interface address (secure CRT), but I can through a loopback interface, I'm wondering why that is?
Thank you,
Dave

Yes, I can SSH into the loopback interface, but I can't SSH or Telnet to the physical interface?
Can you ping the physical interface?
If not, then that's an indication of a routing issue. If you can not ping, then I would try a traceroute (tracert on Windows PCs) and see how far it will get.
If you can ping successfully, then please post a scrubbed portion of the running-config showing the "line vty" sections.
