Display more shortcuts in Office 2013 Quick Access Toolbar (QAT )
Hello,
After just installing Office 2013 and importing my saved 2010 Excel customization, I was startled to see that even with a maximized workbook, the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) is cut short long before the right extent of the window is reached. In fact, it only extends about 3/4 of the way across the screen:
That, combined with the individual QAT icons being much wider, has caused a fair number of my quick-access shortcuts to become not so quick to access!
When I see something like that, I immediately dash to EE, submit my question, and both cross my fingers and hold my breath as I wait for someone to (hopefully) tell me that's an optional view with a setting somewhere I can change.
So, in the interest of my oxygenation, please be prompt with your response.

I can't replicate that display, though my buttons were all added manually. Perhaps it's an issue with the import file-can you post yours?

Ahh, great news that. I'm happy to rebuild from scratch if that will get me the extra length. Many thanks.
You're welcome, hope you can breathe easy now!

Well, as mentioned above, I went ahead and deleted my previously-imported Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) and then rebuilt it by going to:
File > Options > Quick Access Toolbar
and adding one shortcut icon at a time. However, it still displays the same behavior described above. Therefore, I am even more perplexed than before. I was heartened to learn above that this issue is not related to Excel itself — or at least that others running Office 2013 can get a full-width QAT. However, I am still in the dark as to why it is cutting off on my system.
Included below are some screenshots which hopefully demonstrate specifically what is happening (you may need to click on each image to see much detail).
After hiding the formula bar and column headings and also numbering (in blue) the QAT shortcuts, Fig. 1 shows that with the Excel window just under maximum width, the QAT displays 54...
...of a total 65 (see Fig. 2) shortcut icons.
Next, when the Excel window is narrowed to about 3/4 of the screen width (Fig. 3) , the number of shortcut icons displayed decreases to 36 even though there is plenty of space for 42 or even 43:
When the window is narrowed to about half the width of the screen (Fig. 4), there is an even larger area of open (or wasted) as only 16 of a possible 27 icons are displayed:
Finally, Fig. 5 shows that when the window is narrowed to about 1/4 of the screen width, not even one of the QAT shortcut icons is seen...
...even though all 65 are there (Fig. 6):
Any suggestions on what to do next are most welcome.
Thanks

Thanks for the response. Still have not found a solution though.
