Virtual server can't be stopped?

One of my virtual servers is stuck booting after an VMWare tools update ... How do I kill it?

I've enabled SSH access etc on the VMWare hosts but it seems I have to install something else first!? I'm not a CLI guy so any help is appreciated ...
