I was mid way through having a PC return itself to the original Windows configuration, not quite as severe as return to factory settings, when the power went out for ten seconds. &nbsp;Now I get a message saying:<br />

Status: 0xc000000f<br />
Information: The boot selection failed because the required device is inaccessible<br />

It also provides instructions to load the recovery disc into the DVD and restart but when I do that it comes back to this message. &nbsp;I've looked at all the setup information and it seems that all the drives (HDD, DVD) are disabled and the setup utility won't let me enable them.<br />

Is it worth trying to resolve this at home or should I just take it to a specialist? &nbsp;As it stands, I don't think I can get the machine to read anything. <br />

The machine is an Acer and it was running W7
