Power fail during restore - DVD not recognised
I was mid way through having a PC return itself to the original Windows configuration, not quite as severe as return to factory settings, when the power went out for ten seconds. Now I get a message saying:
Status: 0xc000000f
Information: The boot selection failed because the required device is inaccessible
It also provides instructions to load the recovery disc into the DVD and restart but when I do that it comes back to this message. I've looked at all the setup information and it seems that all the drives (HDD, DVD) are disabled and the setup utility won't let me enable them.
Is it worth trying to resolve this at home or should I just take it to a specialist? As it stands, I don't think I can get the machine to read anything.
The machine is an Acer and it was running W7

The BIOS can see them but has them all disabled and won't allow me to enable them :(

Thanks for the diagnosis. I think it's off to the specialists with it. Probably not a home job.
