Need to install .NET framework on 2008 root dc

I need to expand the schema on my 2008 root dc for our upcoming Exchange 2013 install.

But I cannot find the install that will work. The 3.0 install i found tells me to install from Roles.

But Roles only offers 3.5 .net and the exchange 2013 setup wants 3.0 installed.

Where do I find it and how do I get it installed?

Thanks

You don't have to run prep on the domain controller itself. The setup wizard can do everything for you if this is a single domain forest.

This is DC with 2 domains. I was running a it from the root DC . How would I expand the schema without running it on the DC. This is a test lab with just the root DC in it. No exchange in the lab. I just restored the production root DC.
As long as the Exchange server can see the relevant hosts, then it will do the prep from there. You don't have to prep in advance or as a seperate task.

well I need to test this in a lab prior, no choice there.

But when install windows management 3.0 it installs then after reboot during configuring updates it fails and reverts back.

I found this stating not to install it: http://redmondmag.com/articles/2012/12/18/win-management-framework-3-warning.aspx

Is there a way to just expand the schema without install 3.0 frame?
