how to get IE9 to run with Windows 8
I have an application that requires IE9 to run. All Windows 8 comes with IE10. IE10 is not supported with Windows 8 and with this application. I have been searching on the Internet can can't find a working way to get IE9 on Windows 8.
Thanks in advance

You can not downgrade lower than IE10 on Win8, however a possible solution would be for you to put your browser into compatibility mode. Have you tried this?

For download grade you need to do below things.
First tap the start up menu.In start up menu again find and tap the control panel. After opening you will see the different options.Among this find and open the uninstall a program. Now select the IE 10 and tap the uninstall. After uninstall restart the windows 8 system. After turn on open the web browser, search and download the IE 9 application to system. After download find where it is stored. After locating double click on the IE 9 and wait for few minutes to completes the installation process. In this process if it ask to accept something then accept it and press the finish option at last. Now restart the system and use the IE 9.

I found that article but it doesn't work. How can you go to internet browser if you uninstall it? Where can you download IE9 for Windows 8, from the microsoft website I can only find IE9 for Vista or Windows 7. I went ahead and download IE9 for Windows 7 anyway, but the installation never finish successfully.
Microsoft clearly states you CANNOT install IE9 on Win8.

It supports Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Server 2008. That is ALL.

In addition to the above, IE 10 in Windows 8 is different than IE 10 in Windows 7. It reacts differently to similar sites in my own experience. So if the site you need cannot adapt to Windows 8 (none in my travels), then Virtualization or a different browser is all you can do.

I installed Hyper-V, but from there I can't or do not know how to install virtual machine or guest OS. Any info would be appreciated.

Try the link below for a way to run XP Mode in Windows 8. I have not done this and cannot vouch for it.

This would allow you to run IE8 in XP Mode and, if it works, might be easier than virtual machines. I use the latter but they are a different operating environment.

The first link here will walk you through creating a virtual machine using Hyper-V under Win8

Next you will need a bootable ISO to boot the machine from in order to install Win7

This is ONLY for testing purposes only, and in NO way is endorsing using pirated software. That ISO is only an example which can be used for educational purposes.

Click F12 (or the gear at the top right of IE 10 and then "F12 Developer Tools") . You can then click "Browser Mode" in the Developer Tools tool bar and click IE9.

Is there a way to automate F12 function to Run IE9 so the user do not have to click manually?

Two other options:
(1) Does the application run with another browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Safari, etc.)
(2) Can the "application" be replaced by another application? Redesigned? Fixed?
