Moving vCenter to Different host

Hi,

How do I move my vCenter from Host1 to Host2

Host1 has an external NAS storage connected to it (portable one)

Host2 has internal SSD 512GB of HDD.

vCenter resides on Host1....which i have used to move all my vms...But cannot power this down and move it to different host2 because I need it to be running to be able to perform the move?

Note: non of the NAS storage or the host2 internal storage are shared.

Appreciate any help.

You have to remove your ESX hosts from the current management server (VC) in order to be able to add them to the new VC. The VC-agent installed in ESX might otherwise tell you it is managed by another VC

First you need to install Vcenter on other host, Once that is done then

go the first Vcenter.. right click on host1 ( I guess you are talking about ESXI host) and click on remove

after removal go to other Vcenter machine and add host1 in to VC

refer below link how to manage host in VC

When i power down a vm, from host1 connected vy vsphere client, there is no option "migration" to move it to host2?
Sorry i got  little bit confuse over here.

you mean to say vCenter is installed on the host1 as a VM .. and now you want to move that vm from host1 to host 2 ?
@ takecoffe, yes.
OK, i simply clone vCenter pointed it to Host2....cloning is in progress....
