Outlook Connector hangs during update

Running Exchange 2010 (32-bit) on Windows 2008 Server R2 (64-bit).  Installed Outlook Connector(32-bit) on my workstation (Win7 64-bit) to put Outlook.com into my Outlook 2010.  Ran OK for 1 day, but the next day at Outlook startup, Outllook hangs and won't send or receive, says Outlook Connector updating.  Removed Outlook Connector using Control Panel, but had to create a new Mail (32-bit) profile to get the Outlook.com mailbox out of my Outlook.  What gives with the Outlook Connector?

I downloaded the 32-bit version of Office 2010 SP1.
I don't understand your instruction "id restart".
Sorry...
what is "id restart"?
"Once installed, id restart" = Once installed I would restart the PC

Meaning, after you downloaded and re-installed the Outlook Connector

Restart the Computer again.

Now I see you have accepted the answer given above?
Did you resovle/fix your problem using the assitance provided?
Actually, I couldn't do anything with Outlook with the Connector installed.  It was "Patch Wednesday" (the day after Patch Tuesday) and Outlook wanted to update the Connector and just hung.  I could not get into Options to remove the Outlook.com account.

What I ended up doing was creating another profile and rebuilt each of my two office email accounts.  Then I made sure I had the most recent version of the Outlook.com Connector, installed it, then setup my Outlook.com account.

I'm waiting for this month's Patch Tuesday to see if the problem happens again...
