I have an HP LaserJet CP5525DN with a blinking amber !
any suggestion on what to do to fix this or what it means?

The flashing amber is a warning light usually indicating something is wrong, ie paper jam, out of paper or replace drum.... The user manual should show you what to look for in your situation.

Normally there will be an error code displayed in the LCD panel which should tell you what's happening. If there's no message it will be difficult to diagnose without HP's service kit.

turning it off and letting it drain for 20 minutes did the job

It Indicates that the product has a condition that requires intervention.
Paper Jam, empty paper tray.... probably something you can easily solve.
