AD set up remote GC
I have a remote site that is connected via 1.5 m AT&T MPLS PNT. Basically a point to point connection. I can ping across OK.
I am running windows 2008 servers with a domain functioning level of Windows 2003.
I want to set up a secondary domain controller (GC) with DHCP to connect those remote computers to the domain and issue IP addresses that are slightly different. The main office uses 192.168.20.xxx and subnet 255.255.255.0 and I want to issue the remote office ip addresses like 192.168.21.xxx.
Do I simply place a secondary DC as a global catalog with DHCP at the remote site and that's it?
Do I need to make any changes to the Primary DC located at our main office?

Okay... I am a little ignorant on the Sites and Services part. This is the first time I have had to set up a remote site like this. Do I simply go into the Primary Domain Controller, open Sites and Services, right-click on sites and add a new site? Do I do it before or after I get the second Domain Controller up and going? Is it that simple?

I typically like to separate Functions (DHCP, File, Print etc) but if you only have budget for one server at the remote office installing DHCP will work fine.
