trying to download jdk 5
I am trying to download oracle jdk 5 for my centos 5.9 on x86 architecture, my jboss 5.1 will be using jdk 5, this is the url

this is the file jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bi n i am trying to download,
Question
1) usually for x86 architecture they name the file ending with "386" right, i was confused with 586, what is it, is it different then 386 ?
2) is this jdk-1_5_0_22-linux-i586.bi n the right file for my centos x86 arc vm machine ?

That's a good question, the company i work for are still using the old version of jboss and jdk, which is "5", so i have no option.
can i know the reason ....
may be i can refine the solution.
you already have iced tea version of java available on the sytem ,you have to substitute it with oracle jdk
