IE 8 problem?
Hello,
See attached; this occurs while playing a YouTube video in IE 8.
The source (of the video playing part) is attached.
It works fine in IE 10.
Is there a solution I can control? Of course I do not know what version of IE customers have.
You can see the video playing at www.lakostrainingww.com. Just provide the info on the first page; then click "Take me to the Presentation".

I found below forum for the same :

My first recommendation is to use MS fixit.

IE 8. browser maybe out of date too much to support the newer flash HD quality.
Internet Explorer 8 was released in March 2009
Enabling Java-script in your browser may resolve the situation
Go to tools /internet options>Security tab.>custom.
Scroll down to Scripting. check to Enable
Also Enable Java-script checkbox.
Delete the internet temporary cache incase it has reached full capacity if the allocated space to store temp IE is around 250 megs.
Disable the hardware acceleration.
But which windows?
try upgrading it to IE9 as the latest and last supporting for XP
Or simply test it using Chrome web browser

To all,
You do not understand the question.
This is a site that will be viewed by the GENERAL PUBLIC on the web.
We have NO CONTROL over what browser they choose & how they configure it.
I'm looking for a way (in HTML, css, Javascript) to avoid this.

You need to decide whether you are going to support obsolete technology or use advanced technology on your site. The two are not compatible, and if you have to support old browsers then you are limited to using the limited set of stuff they understand and can work with.
If it is a public site you should be looking at your analytics to see whether you are getting enough users using obsolete browsers to justify delivering degraded quality to the rest of the users.

According to the customer, 17% of their visitors use IE 8.
My suggestion is that if the browser is IE, version 8 or earlier, we display a message saying, effectively, please upgrade to the latest version. Message in RED text.

You may learn the source of the problem from Event Viewer or from the Reliability Monitor built into Windows. It usually is another program or file which conflicts with IE.
(You reach Reliability Monitor from Start and then typing reli . Once in the monitor click the "View technical details" link.
What version of Windows is being used?
