Secondary DNS server in Windows server 2003 domain controller
Hi,
I have windows 2003 Domain Controller. There is a primary DNS servers and Secondary DNS server. I wanted add one more DNS server. Can you please give me the proper steps to add the 3rd DNS server on the existing setup above. The server I want to promote as my 3rd DNS server currently it's an ADC on the same domain

You can refer to below steps while configuring additional DNS Server within your Domain.

It is really good idea to have 2 DNS Servers at each site if user's volume is huge so as access too.

1 - You would have to run 'dcpromo' on this new server.
2 - Add just like an additional domain controller.
3 - Point its network settings to main DNS server.
4 - From site and services, just pick who you want it to replicate to.
5 - Check the connectivity with each other (Domain controllers).
6 - It should then start replicate.
Let me know if that works for U!
