Play more games than you sleep, read more books than you talk on the phone. Just Joking..

Start with something simple, something you can do and prove to yourself that it is easy.  Learn the basic (fundamental) and expand from there.  So take a basic networking class at city college is a good start.

I assume you have general knowledge of Microsoft windows.

In order to become a network admin, you have to ask yourself what you like. SEE BELOW -

- Do you like Routing and switching? Make everything connected! Certs - ICND1 > ICND2, CCNP, CCIE (Expert certification)

- Do you like network security? Make sure your network is secure. Certifications - CCNA, CCNP, CCIE All security ones.

- Do you have networking as a wireless?

- Like voice?

- Like Datacenter networking?

- Like Service provider?

Choose one. Look up Cisco website for training and certifications and see what you like. And then go for it!!!

Cisco is amazing!!!
You dont need  anything tostart become networked administrator just one concept
Osi reference modeltcp  ip model
Just  master  it.
Start to experiment with end of life hardware and routers.
You learn the most by just start building your own lab and try to transfer data and host services across networks. And the good thing is, you also learn what happens when you create loops and disconnects.

All these bad things that you don't want to happen in a production environment but so educating.
as ,I said ,just master the osi reference model and tcp/ip model ,
lhand on experiance is just at short distance , you wil save a lot of time in future and in working after you becoem network admin ,the more time you spend here , the more results and time you will save in your journey to become network admin
