Looking for a Dropbox-style syncing solution for off-site employees
We have several locations all connecting to our primary site via Citrix. We need a solution that allows us to sync a particular set of folders to computers off-site, over the internet. We need this in case of an internet or power outage at our main site. The off-site file cache will only be used in the event of an emergency, and hopefully when services at the main office return, any changes made to the files would then be synced back to the main office.
We have looked into VPNs and basic syncing software such as DirSync Pro and built-in Windows offline files, but that is not what we are looking for. We thought Dropbox would be a good solution, but when we contacted sales they told us their service was a "server replacement" and would not support our setup.
I'm looking for a service that will take care of file synchronization for us.

That looks very interesting. Have you had any experience with GoodSync?
Someone else mentioned SkyDrive as an option. Any opinion?

I haven't used either of those services, only Dropbox and Google Drive.
Cloudberry Drive allows you to use your cloud provider of choice. Amazon S3 / Azure storage is price competitive and definitely highly available
I deeply recommend ShareFile that offers you either cloud or onpremise storage -www.sharefile.com. It's suitable if you also want to have some control over your files, etc..(dropbox for enterprise)

@zoubi77
With ShareFile would it be possible to sync an entire directory to several computers off-site, and have that directory be available for users while they are offline? If changes are made to those files are they then synced back up to ShareFile, and then back to the main office?
Is there a limit to the number of computers that can connect to ShareFile and sync at the same time?
Thanks!

Does exactly what I want. Other suggestions did not work for our setup.
