Windows XP Disk Management shows no drive letters
I have a Windows XP machine. I just started monitoring with Nagios and it was giving me some strange readings on the disk drives (C and D) so I logged in and I see that there are no Drive letters in the disk management.
Windows Explore see drive letters but not Disk Management. This is a virtual machine running on esxi 5.0. The only way I can get it to show drive letters is if I convert them to dynamic. I have restored the machine back to Basic Disks and would like to know if anyone has some ideas as to what I can do here. I ran chkdsk /f and did fine and fix some issue but not this one. I though maybe it was something I did recently but I restored from a backup in March same issue. I am not sure how long it as been like this.
When I do a list volume in diskpart I get no drive letters either.
Thanks!!
