Hi,
I need to arrange switch over from one ISP to another on SBS2008, I just need to be sure I have everything covered...
Firstly, I intend to setup the router for the new ISP and put it on the same network as the current ISP before switching over any mail records, that way the switchover can take place on the MX records over the weekend when the mail records resolve.
Is there anything else I need to consider, I know this is pretty basic stuff but I need to be sure that we have all bases covered before hitting the button - I understand that SBS2008 ships with Exchange 2007 which is all command line managed? No idea if this needs any tweaking or not or will it handle the new external/internal IP on it's own?
Oh one last thing, how can I find out a current list of external DNS/A/WWW/MX records without contacting the current external domain host?
cheers!
