Based on your scenario I came across users experiencing the same thing on a domain. <br />

We tracked this down to being an issue with the NIC driver. &nbsp;This can be identified by reviewing the &quot;Administrative Events&quot; in the Event Viewer logs. The source your are looking for is NETLOGON and the details would be something of the sort &quot;no domain controllers available to logon.&quot; <br />
<br />
To resolve it, we uninstalled the affected driver and allowed Windows to find and load the driver using &quot;Scan for new hardware&quot; &nbsp;<br />
<br />
The NIC brand affected was Intel and it was various models. &nbsp;<br />
<br />

We tried this and the windows client wasnt remembering the domain account password so we reset it on the client under accounts.

We recently discovered a user having issues with the windows system forgetting that the user has access to the network mapped drives and the problem comes and goes. &nbsp;we believe the problem is because windows looks to the cac card for authentication. &nbsp;Is they a way around this?
