SBS 2003 to 2011
Hi,
I have a customer who has an ageing sbs 2003 server. I want to install an new server with sbs 2011 and move the exchange mailboxes and SQL databases.
What is the best practice for this?
Do I install and the new server with sbs 2011 and just add it to the domain and move everything across?
Or do I have to go through this migration path?

If you want to move data across then you must use the migration process. There is no way to join SBS to an existing domain after a clean non-migration install.
