Configuring Cisco phone for User login

I need to set up a group of Cisco phones (7962s, 7942s) that aren't configured for any single users but show a login in screen on the display.  I'll be setting these up at generic workstations for any user to come in, connect a laptop, and I want them to login in to the phone with a user ID and PIN and have the phone reconfigure itself for the user.  I know I need to create the user profile and enable Extension Mobility.  I just need help setting up the phone to be basically a blank phone waiting for a user to login.  Thanks, in advance, for the help.

You may be able to replace the regular idle screen with a custom XML service that would display a couple of login field. However, that is not a feature native in Callmanager.

You want to remove the lines out of the phones, and associate lines on Device Profiles only. You may also want to consider disabling the settings button within the phone configuration page.

What exactly are you looking after when you say " I just need help setting up the phone to be basically a blank phone waiting for a user to login.  "

Picture an empty desk that is available for anyone to use.  I need the phone on the desk to not have any extension or directory number assigned.  It simply displays the screen showing UserID and PIN so that any user can enter their ID and PIN and the phone will configure itself based on their profile.  I hope that makes sense.

I appreciate the help.  I simply created Phone Button Templates for the model phones we use and assigned a button to the Service URL for Extension Mobility.  I created one for the phone when noone is logged in and one for the Device Profile for the user, using the same Service URL, allowing them to logout.  It seems to flow smoothly which is important when you'll have to teach users to do this.  Thanks again for the help.
You are welcome. I am glad it worked out for you.
