Computer crash with 10000008e error
A computer with no hardware changes crashed and had the error signature below. Doing a little research looks like it could be several things. Any help solving this would be greatly appreciated.

Event ID is 1003. Antivirus is Kaspersky and I will check for the Minidump now.

I apologize but I am not very good with reading minidumps. Does this lead to a point of origin?
ASKER
That was the only file under %windir%\Minidump\ subdir Darr247.

No problem. Yes, that is what it is. So the video card driver needs to be updated?

Yes,
I would boot into safe mode (F8) with networking to uninstall the nvidia and then load the latest for your card. If you have the latest already then try a slightly older one.
PS make sure you know the Administrator password before going into safe mode, change it now if you are unsure.

Okay, we will not install the driver from the Windows Update but how can we tell which brand, model and version it is without opening up the machine?
Device Manager should tell you. Right click on My Computer and select Manage, then Device Manager.
Never a good idea to let windows update install drivers.

Okay, I will try and find the newest driver and post back here if I cannot find the driver. Thank you for the quick help pjarn and darr247.
If you can't find anything newer on the computer maker's support site, go to
http://www.nvidia.com/page/support.html
and click the Download Drivers button, then select your video card and OS from the picklists.

Okay, I will try that link that you provided.
What make and model is your computer?
Is the video card original or an add on?

ASKER
We had the computer built so there is no standard make and model. The video card is an add on. Once the user if off it, I will try getting the information from Device Manager on the video card and then download from the link provided of nivida.com
Great, you are on the right track. If it was a Dell or HP I would agree with Darr247, manufacturers web site is better for those.
ASKER
Okay, thank you pjarn. I will post back with the results.
Is your Windows XP Home Edition or Professional Edition?
Few months ago I had troubles with some software/drivers giving me blue screens on Home Edition but not on Professional Edition.
