Need to locate My Documents that were cached.
Hello,
We recently replaced a server for a customer, and joined workstations to the new domain. As part of the process, the workstations moved their My Documents pointers from their old location to the new one.
We have a user who is reporting that he is missing a few folders following the move. Turns out, the user has a laptop, and had been working on his files offline. I'm not sure if and how the folders went missing when he was joined to the new domain. I need to figure out what my options are in terms of restoring these files. Is there any way to see or access the files that were cached when he was working offline? Would a system restore take me back to point "A" prior to the domain change?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Rudy

Was the computer on a domain, then moved to the domain, or is this the first domain that the computer joined?
ASKER
The computer was already on a domain, then moved to a different domain.
