i was trying to install hp laserjet 3050 through USB connection on lenovo idea centre k410
on windows 7 ultimate 64 bit, i was configuring on virtual USB001 port , the driver got installed
but nothing printed
i checked under device manager-yellow exclamation mark on universal serial bus controller
can this is preventing printing , if so how should i resolve it

Check the required printer drive once again are they be the latest update software exe with its drivers, i mean to say the drivers compatiblility with the OS and mainly try to check the cabling with the other USB cable if that might be causing the problem.

If failed, I recommend removing the HP printer device. Plug the printer back in and see if it will resolve your issue.

If the above does not work, I try another USB cable to rule out that it is not a cabling issue.
If the above does not work, I remove all the HP printer drivers in Printer Server Properties and reinstall the drivers
The next step would be to update the printer firmware and hopefully you do not have hardware issue.
