Dear all,

Today get a quite special event from the SQL server 2005 with SP2 that:

"The log for database 'tempdb' is not available. Check the event log for related error messages. Resolve any errors and restart the database."

the tempdb mdf and ldf file is here but the event log has some red event about that.

What I did is try to stop it from SQL configuration manager but the SQL server service hangs, then I kill it using taskkill /pid: <SQL service pid>, then start it again and everything works well again.

I restart it again and everything still normal.,

any experinece from you all on this ?
