I don't think you can, unless you use the Shell to create the contact. By default all mail enabled objects will get an email address from Exchange. <br />
<br />
Even if you create another policy to not apply to Contacts, the default policy will still be applied. <br />

When ever I am creating contacts in my exchange 2010 server, automatically our default domain will be added in the email address list. Then I need to untick the address policy option and manually delete the local mail ID. How I can avoid these steps..

I don&#39;t think you can, unless you use the Shell to create the contact. By default all mail enabled objects will get an email address from Exchange.
